Ampleforth Abbey and College

The fire detection systems and arrangements already in place at Ampleforth needed a structural reorganisation. This posed some initial problems as many of the fire safety systems also needed updating.

While carrying out the reorganisation and update, it was important to ensure minimal disruption to the learning and teaching timetable so that the college campus remained fully functional.

Tecserv overcame these issues by upgrading the current systems where required, providing assistance and guidance in the re-organisation of the fire alarm system management to ensure it is fully understood.

Each system we installed featured high quality fire detection equipment sourced from leading manufacturers. This helps to minimise the occurrence of false alarm activations and ongoing maintenance and inspections can be carried out with ease.

Just as it is in any educational establishment, the safety of pupils and staff are of paramount importance. However, given the historic nature of the buildings and because the college adjoins the schoolhouses, the requirement for high quality fire protection increases further.

Tecserv UK Ltd was able to provide Ampleforth College with the latest specification of fire protection equipment whilst also helping to reduce cost. Over twenty college buildings have been upgraded and Tecserv is contracted on an ongoing basis to maintain and carry out inspections on all the fire alarm systems that are installed across the college campus.
