Approximately 20 miles west of central London, it is run by the Pinewood Group and is famous for having produced many blockbuster films such as James Bond.
A major challenge on this project was ensuring we specified and installed equipment that was fit for purpose, yet avoided contamination reaching the fire detectors installed around the film sets. Due to the size of the site, we also had to ensure the location of all alarm activations could be exactly pinpointed.
To overcome these challenges, we facilitated the design of an fire alarm system that could be resistant to special effects, such as smoke, allowing for minimal disruption to Film and TV productions on set through false alarms.
