The Goodwood Festival of Speed is an annual motorsports festival featuring modern and historic motor racing vehicles taking part in a hill climb and other events. It is the world’s greatest celebration of motorsport and car culture.
First held in 1993, this year’s festival took place from 13th to 16 July and, for the very first time, featured a McLaren 570S GT4 driven by Aaron Morgan, a paraplegic driver who competed in the 2022 British GT Championship and is racing in the McLaren Trophy Series Europe this year. Aaron was representing Team BRIT in their debut appearance at the Festival of Speed.
Having had the opportunity to meet the drivers and learn more about their debut at Goodwood in the Festival of Speed, Tecserv UK CEO Graham Tilley was keen help Team BRIT and encourage diversity and inclusivity within motorsport.

Currently, located in Dunsfold Park, Cranleigh, in Surrey, Team BRIT is planning to relocate premises and Tecserv UK has offered to help survey and install the fire and security requirements once determined by the fire risk assessment.
Team BRIT, in partnership with BRIT Insurance, is a competitive racing team which creates equal opportunities in motorsport for people with physical and psychological disabilities. Motorsport is the only sport in which competitors can compete on a level playing field in the same races with no separate classifications for disability.
Founded in 2015 with just one car and two drivers, the team now has nine drivers that race two McLarens, a BMW and a Citroen. Team BRIT also offers unique experiences and a route to racing for disabled drivers from grassroots level upwards. Its experienced instructors and crew support drivers new to the sport with expert tuition, and through training on its full-motion Vesaro race simulator, which is fitted with its innovative hand control technology.
Grahame has worked in the fire and security industry since 1979. He was instrumental in developing a small, regional fire and security alarm company into one of the industry’s most successful specialist companies.
